Together with C-Squared, the Festival organizers, IMS has launched MAP with the objective of promoting the emergence of novel projects in the Latin American media market, focusing on innovation as a key part of their strategy to deliver greater value to advertisers. The seven finalist companies were selected from among startups in the entire region; each is a company with less than three years experience that is trying to deepen the positioning of innovative products and services at the regional level.
During the final day of the Festival, October 14, the seven finalists will present their proposals to the entire Festival delegation – a senior professional audience with strong influence on regional media budgets. One of the finalists will be selected “Festival of Media Latam Hot Company of The Year” and will have access to a series of private meetings with leading agencies and brands. The winner will also receive two invitations to the Festival of Media Global 2012.
The judges’ panel represents the depth and diversity of the whole Latin America media market. It is composed of Pedro Cabral, CEO of Aegis Latin America; Alexandre Hohagen, Facebook VP Latam; Luke Stertz, International Marketing Manager of Netflix; and Andrés Otero, Partner in GroupArgent.
“There are many talented emerging companies that are advancing our industry,” said Gaston Taratuta, CEO of IMS. “A platform such as MAP provides the visibility that startups need while educating senior decision makers on the opportunities and innovations occurring in our own region.”
These are the seven finalists that will participate in the final stage of the Media Accelerator Program with the chance to be selected “Festival of Media Latam Hot Company of The Year”:
